Though production may already be in motion, Wim Wenders‘ 3D drama, Every Thing Will Be Fine, has added a third major player to its ranks: according to THR, stars James Franco and Charlotte Gainsbourg can now count Rachel McAdams as one of their own, the actress entering things as — in a somewhat unsurprising development — the girlfriend of our main protagonist. (Sarah Polley had been eyed for the part, though that, clearly, did not shake out as some would’ve intended.) Lest we think it’s merely another love interest role requiring very little of a talented actress — and how often we see those, too — Bjørn Olaf Johannessen‘s screenplay, in regards to her character, concerns a woman faced with the “deteriorating mental health” of her grief-stricken boyfriend.

In three eye-popping dimensions, the story primarily centers on Tomas, a man whose accidental killing of a young boy serves as the basis for a successful, acclaimed writing career. Over more than a decade, however, guilt still hangs over the man’s head, a feeling that soon culminates with communication from the victim’s mother (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and brother (Robert Naylor). Put on your dark glasses, everyone — they’ll mask the tears.

A different bit of casting stems from TheWrap, who report that Nick Frost and James Marsden have entered discussions over Business Trip, a comedy which Vince Vaughn and Dave Franco are leading for the former’s Delivery Man director, Ken Scott. As a Planes, Trains and Automobiles-esque comedy, Steve Conrad‘s script sees an American suit whose trip to Europe becomes discombobulated, and soon “devolves into amusing madness.”

Frost and Marsden would take supporting roles, though details which extend past as much have not been made available. (I’d almost expect Vaughn‘s character to visit England and for Frost to portray a native to the land, while Marsden is a fellow traveler — though that’s nothing more than a barely educated guess.) New Regency will release the title next year.

Could McAdams make a proper fit for Wenders? Any hopes to see the duo with Vaughn and Franco?
