Although it was rumored for a summer release, Relativity Media have now set a wide fall bow for Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s directorial debut, Don Jon. Undergoing a recent title change, we called the film a “sincerely personal and comedic examination of sexual neurosis that is both strangely relatable and intimate” at Sundance and now it will land on October 18th, 2013. The date marks quite a day for  Julianne Moore fans, as she’ll not only be appearing in this film, but Carrie and The Seventh Son as well.

In other release date news, the latest actioner from Expendables stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone has been given a September 13th bow, moved up two weeks and now landing alongside the recently shifted Insidious Chapter 2. Previously titled The Tomb, the film from Mikael Håfström (1408, The Rite) is now titled The Escape Plan and also stars Jim Caviezel, 50 Cent, Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Neill, Vinnie Jones and Amy Ryan.

Continuing down the line, the Elizabeth Banks and James Marsden-led comedy Walk of Shame will land on September 20th, alongside the recently moved mob drama Malavita. Directed by Luc Besson, the latter film stars Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Moving to 2014, FilmDistrict has picked up Paul W.S. Anderson’s period epic Pompeii and set a February 28th bow. Led by Kit Harington, Kiefer Sutherland, Jared Harris and Emily Browning, the film capturing the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in A.D. 79 recently added Carrie-Anne Moss, Joe Pingue, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Jessica Luca to the ensemble. For those of you keeping track, that means two films from this auteur will be landing next year.

Lastly, DreamWorks Animation has shifted its opening of Kung Fu Panda 3 and added a few new voice members. Originally set for a March 2016 bow, the film will now land on Christmas 2015. Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen and more are expected to return, while Bryan Cranston, Mads Mikkelsen and Rebel Wilson will join the party for the film directed by previously helmer Jennifer Yuh Nelson.
