“The second Sin City– I was just here with Frank Miller last night and we were watching it last night. [We] finished the cut, effects are being done, it will come out in August,” director Robert Rodriguez recently revealed on Sirius XM’s Ron and Fez Show (via Collider). While we don’t have any footage yet, today brings new stills from the sequel, featuring the returning Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke, as well as newcomer Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Courtesy of EW, they can be seen below, along with a few details at the site for the forthcoming sequel, which is officially titled Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. With that film arriving in August, it won’t be the last time we’ll return to this world, as Rodriguez went on to say, “[Miller] watched Part 2—he watched it last night with me and then at the end he said, he didn’t have any comments, he was very happy with it. And he said, now about part three…. Started telling me how he’s going to do part three. So he’s already there on part three.”

With this follow-up arriving nearly a decade after the original, let us know if you still have any anticipation for it in the comments below.
