A welcome surprise arrived early this morning, when our first look at footage from the Ridley Scott-directed, Cormac McCarthy-penned drama The Counselor made its way online. Full of striking imagery of bad people doing bad things, it’s certainly one of our most-anticipated projects of the fall and now we’ve got even more media from 20th Century Fox. While our lead Michael Fassbender pops up, our focus in these new images is Javier Bardem.
Sporting a spiky, wild hairstyle (not to mention his flashy attire), he looks to be creating another unforgettable villain following his iconic turn as Anton Chigurh. Also featuring our female co-stars Penélope Cruz and Cameron Diaz, Scott looks to be back in proper, welcome form here and we can’t wait to see what the final film has in store. Check out the images (via People/EW) above and below and if you missed it earlier this month, read a portion of the No Country For Old Men author’s script over at The New Yorker.
The Counselor opens on October 25th.
