We’ve already got Arcade Fire‘s full score and Karen O‘s original rendition of The Moon Song for Spike Jonze‘s Her, but today brings an unexpected surprise. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman got back in the studio, this time with Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig, to record a new version of the song for a three-track EP that debuts this week.

“I wrote the song as a duet,” Karen O told Rolling Stone, who premiered the track. “I was really excited at the prospect of getting to record it with a male vocalist. Ezra was super cool and open, he slipped into character like a champ and damn he’s got the goods.” It’s certainly not wildly different than what one previously heard, but they do combine for a nice harmony and one can check it out below.

Update: See Karen O perform the song live below, along with a behind-the-scenes look at its creation, thanks to Billboard and THR.
