With production kicking off in under two months, Sam Mendes has brought back Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris for Bond 24. So far, the only newcomer to the franchise has been in the form of cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema, stepping in for Roger Deakins, but today we have another member to add.
According to Baz Bamigboye, Léa Seydoux will be taking the femme fatale role. While as of late the Bond girls have been relatively unknown, Seydoux already has much experience in the blockbuster spy field with a supporting role of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. The French actress also led last year’s Palme d’Or winner Blue Is the Warmest Color and has been seen in Inglorious Basterds, The Grand Budapest Hotel (ever so briefly), and Midnight in Paris. She seems like a strong fit here, and one check back as more casting comes into place over the next months.
Bond 24, still untitled, will arrive on November 6th, 2015.
