Released last year after a Sundance premiere, Leslye Headland‘s Bachelorette seemed to be received as yet another riff on Bridesmaids (not discounting it’s original iteration was already a play), yet the film couldn’t be farther apart. With a rough, but insightful edge, it tackled issues that Paul Feig’s comedy wouldn’t get near. With the film being a wild success on VOD, the writer-director has now revealed her follow-up.

As reported by The Wrap, Headland will once again team with producer Will Ferrell for another comedy. Titled Sleeping With Other People, Kirsten Dunst will reteam for the director in the lead role and is set to be paired up with Jason Sudeikis. The story follows “a good-natured womanizer (Sudeikis) who befriends a remorseful serial cheater (Dunst). Their platonic relationship reforms their chronic infidelity but sparks an inconvenient romantic attraction to each other.” Having greatly enjoyed Headland’s debut, hopefully she doesn’t lose her spark here, but there’s no reason to suspect otherwise.

Expect a 2014 release for the project.
