The dark comedy Sightseers is making the rounds, starting with a release in the UK last November. It’s scheduled to hit theaters around Europe over the next couple months, but as for the US, IFC Films/Sundance Selects has yet to set a date. Until then, domestic movie-goers will have to settle for a few trailers, as well as a little eye candy from overseas.

A German poster for the film found its way on the web, and the design really complements Ben Wheatley’s tale of an innocent trip through the British countryside that turns very dark. The artwork takes inspiration from the Kill List director’s style of pairing the mundane with over-the-top violence — a trait we pointed out when we reviewed the film at Cannes — by weaving some sick details into a sweater pattern. It could be a while before it lands in the US, but if the visual teasers are any indication, this Edgar Wright-produced crime spree is definitely worth the wait.
