It seems like we can’t go a few years without Allen Ginsberg popping up in a film. We saw James Franco portray the Beat Generation poet in Howl and David Cross a few years before that in I’m Not There, the latter of whom is playing another Ginsberg in the currently shooting Kill Your Darlings. We’ve got the first look at our lead Daniel Radcliffe on set, joined by David Carr (Dane DeHaan).

Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Kyra Sedgwick also co-star in Darlings, a beat scene period piece from director John Krokidas and co-writer Austin Bunn that focuses on the inter-relationships between Ginsberg (Radcliffe), Jack Kerouac (Jack Houston) and Carr. Elizabeth Olsen is also signed to play Edie Parker, Kerouac’s then-girlfriend, and Ben Foster is on board to portray William S. Burroughs. Check out some photos below and more at Splash, for what looks to be a physically sound transformation.

Kill Your Darlings will likely hit theaters in 2013.
