Written by on August 15, 2011

The first official images from Clint Eastwood‘s J. Edgar debuted late last week and now Warner Bros. has just sent over the first official image of Naomi Watts as Helen Gandy. The figure was a secretary to FBI director J. Edgar Hoover (Leonardo DiCaprio) for 45 years and was an integral part to the behind-the-scenes operation there.

Check it out above and click for a higher-res image and see one of the only photos of Gandy to the side. Written by Milk Oscar-winner Dustin Lance Black, the drama also stars Judi Dench, Armie Hammer, Josh Lucas, and Ken Howard.

“J. Edgar” explores the public and private life of one of the most powerful, controversial and enigmatic figures of the 20th century. As the face of law enforcement in America for almost fifty years, J. Edgar Hoover (DiCaprio) was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life.

J. Edgar hits theaters November 9th, 2011. Watts will next be seen with Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz in Dream House this September.
