Following his successful take on superheroes with The Wolverine, James Mangold has a lined up a few projects, notably The Deep Blue Good-By, which was all set to shoot before Christian Bale suffered a knee injury. Looking elsewhere, it looks like he may have found his next project, as Deadline reports he’s signed on to direct an adaptation of Chris Geenhalgh‘s Seducing Ingrid Bergman, scripted by Arash Amel. The story follows the romance between the iconic star and photographer Robert Capa in a post-WWII Paris.

In other news, Arnold Schwarzenegger has found a new film, and after impressing in the recent Maggie, thankfully it’ll be on the smaller scale. Deadline reports he’ll star in 478, a dramatic thriller that comes from Javier Gullon, the writer behind Denis Villenueve‘s Enemy. Produced by Darren Aronofsky, it’ll follow our lead as a man who loses his wife and child in a plane crash thanks to a mistake by an air traffic controller. Put in protective custody, Schwarzenegger will go after him in what’s said to be more of a character study. Having loved Gullon’s script for Enemy, this sounds like the Terminator star’s most promising role in some time.

Lastly, after releasing an activist documentary that actually had proven results, Blackfish director Gabriela Cowperthwaite is switching up genres for her next film. Variety reports she’s come aboard the adventure-thriller The Search. Scripted by Spencer Mondshein, it follows an “expert tracker who battles his demons while on a journey to rescue his estranged older brother, who’s struggling to survive near-fatal wounds sustained while exploring the uncharted Northwest wilderness.”

Which of the above projects are you most looking forward to?
