Having one of the most successful post-Twilight careers, the Oscar-nominated Anna Kendrick is continuing to stay busy with a variety of promising projects. The Pitch Perfect actress just got cast in Zach Braff‘s Kickstarted follow-up to Garden State, Wish I Was Here. She’ll be playing the role of Janine, a fan of cosplay who becomes the romantic interest of Josh Gad, Braff’s brother.

Kendrick will also be seen this summer in Drinking Buddies, a film we place on our summer preview recommendations. Directed by Joe Swanberg, in his most successful work yet according to our SXSW review, she’s joined by Olivia Wilde, Jake Johnson and Ron Livingston in the relationship drama set in the world of beer crafting. Ahead of its summer release, check out the first poster below thanks to EW.

Drinking Buddies arrives on August 23rd while Wish I Was Here is aiming for a 2014 Sundance premiere.
