Sundance has officially kicked off, and you can follow our coverage right here. Now, if you’re like me and are just sitting at home, you can at least enjoy some photos from movies that will be playing there. Okay… that’s not the greatest option, but just bear with me here. Among the latest batch of shots, which come from ThePlaylist, we have new looks at two Elizabeth Olsen features — Red Lights and Liberal Arts — as well as one of my most anticipated films of the entire festival, James Marsh‘s Shadow Dancer.
Lights is Rodrigo Cortés‘ follow-up to 2010’s Buried, though this bears a much larger cast than his debut — among them, Cillian Murphy, Sigourney Weaver, and Robert De Niro. These new looks feature Olsen, Murphy, and Weaver — the first we’ve seen of them at this point, if I’m not mistaken — but still manage to be as ambiguous as that bizarre teaser we got a couple of months ago. This one premieres tonight, and I can’t wait to hear reactions when the first screening lets out.
Synopsis: Psychologist Margaret Matheson and her assistant study paranormal activity, which leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic.
Check them out above and below:
Then there’s the other Olsen film, the Josh Radnor-directed Liberal Arts, which stars the helmer, Richard Jenkins, and Allison Janney. This one is a little less paranormal than Lights, as it centers on Jesse, a 30-year-old who’s “invited back to his alma mater, falls for a 19-year-old college student and is faced with the powerful attraction that springs up between them.” When it’s Elizabeth Olsen, can you blame him? (Sorry.) The one image from it is miniscule, but it’s better than nothing.
Take a look below:
Finally, we have several new pictures of Clive Owen and Andrea Riseborough in Shadow Dancer. We brought you the first image a month and a half ago, which only featured the actress, but these latest ones have both her and Owen front and center. (As well as two actors who, please forgive me, I don’t quite recognize.) I’d be happy to get some of Aiden Gillen or Gillian Anderson in there, but this will work for now.
Synopsis: When a widowed mother is arrested in an aborted bomb plot she must make hard choices to protect her son in this heart-wrenching thriller.

Which of these films are you looking forward to the most?
