Ken Jeong signing for The Hangover Part III is so expected it’s almost not even news. There is, however, a tiny bit of reason to pay attention when THR claims his role in the series-ending installment will see a “significantly expanded” part for the Chinese gangster Mr. Chow.

For the first time in this project’s development, I’m a little intrigued; too bad Warner Bros. is keeping this one under lock and key at the moment. Up to now — and, maybe, only until a trailer hits in a few months — it’s been said that Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis will return, with their characters possibly breaking Alan out of a mental hospital and traveling to Mexico Or, perhaps, it’ll see them break Alan out of a Mexican mental hospital. Whatever the case, Ken Jeong will be around for more of it than ever before.

The Hangover Part III will open on May 24th, 2013.

Ed Helms is getting yet another co-star, with Variety reporting that Kathryn Hahn (Wanderlust, Girls) is signing for Rawson Marshall Thurber‘s We’re the Millers. The cast is led by Jason Sudeikis, who will play a pot dealer planning one last job in which he crosses the U.S.-Mexico border, hoping to return with 1,000 pounds of marijuana. In order to accomplish this, he compiles a “fake family” by hiring a prostitute (Jennifer Aniston) and teenage boy (Will Poulter) to pose as his wife and son. Nick Offerman is also on board, while Helms will make a cameo appearance.

Hahn enters the picture as the vacationing wife of a DEA agent; not much to go off of, but, with her proving to be both a hilarious and reliable comedic presence these days — she has the two funniest birth scenes in film this year — any participation of the lady’s is bound to yield positive results. (She’s probably also the only actress to have two birth scenes this year, now that I’ve given that last statement a second to sink in.) And, hey, wouldn’t it be great if Offerman and Hahn played a husband and wife? With that, I think Millers would be all set.

What do you think Jeong will be doing in The Hangover Part III? Is Hahn a good pick for Millers‘ cast?
