With his controversial, initially banned debut Titicut Follies recently being recognized as one of the 25 most influential documentaries of all-time, it’s remarkable that, nearly fifty years later, Frederick Wiseman‘s work is still vital as ever. As the director approaches 84, he recently premiered his latest work, the four-hour At Berkeley, on the fall festival circuit and after the first batch of clips, the trailer has now arrived.

Set for a limited release beginning on November 8th, the documentary tracks the ins and outs of University of California, Berkeley as the institution deals with budget cuts, tuition increases and school life in general. After looking at education on a smaller scale with his sophomore effort High School, we’re looking forward to seeing what the master filmmaker explores here. Check out both the trailer and poster below. [The Playlist/Nonfics]

At Berkeley opens on November 8th in New York City and will expand from there.
