With hundreds of films premiering on the fall festival circuit, it’s easy for a few promising ones to get lost in the shuffle — and today we’ve got a prime example of such an occurrence. Debuting at Toronto International Film Festival, where it actually got a runner-up prize for the People’s Choice Award, the drama Zaytoun then made its way to the London Film Festival and AFI Fest 2012. With a UK release next week, we’ve now got the first trailer.

Led by Stephen Dorff, who last surprised us with an excellent performance in Sofia Coppola‘s Somewhere, the film from Eran Riklis (Lemon Tree, The Human Resources Manager) follows our lead as an Israeli fighter pilot in 1982 who, after getting shot down, becomes a prisoner of war. He then links up with a young Palestinian refugee as they continue their journey. Check out the promising look below in the film from The King’s Speech producer Gareth Unwin.

Zaytoun lands in the UK next week, with no US distribution yet.
