Following his tragic passing earlier this year, there’s still a few Robin Williams performances left that have yet to arrive. One of these is A Merry Friggin’ Christmas, a holiday-themed comedy that follows Williams as the father of Joel McHale who begrudgingly hosts a Christmas gathering. When the Community star realizes he forgot his son’s presents, he treks out into a blizzard with his father to track them down.

Directed by Tristram Shapeero (CommunityVeep, Workaholics, New Girl, Parks and Recreation), the first trailer has now arrived. While it doesn’t seem like a comedic knock-out, it may be worth a watch on VOD, where it arrives next month along with a limited theatrical run. Check out the trailer below for the film also starring Lauren Graham, Candice Bergen, Tim Heidecker, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Clark Duke, Oliver Platt, and Looper‘s Pierce Gagnon.

An American comedy starring Joel McHale, Lauren Graham and the late Robin Williams. When he realizes that he left his son’s gifts at home, Boyd and his father must hit the road in a blizzard to retrieve the gifts before sunrise to save Christmas.

A Merry Friggin’ Christmas arrives on November 7th.
