If you like your imported thrillers of the violent, crazy variety, then you’ve probably already taken a liking to Japanese filmmaker Takeshi Kitano. After debuting Outrage back in 2010, he’s returned for the follow-up, Beyond Outrage, which tracks a manipulative police crackdown on organized crime that ignites a tricky power struggle involving the two biggest yakuza families.

The first U.S. trailer has now landed today, which features a mix of inventive killings, bloodshed, gunshots and a few laughs. If it sounds like it could be up your alley, check out the trailer below for the film starring Kitano, Ryo Kase, Toshiyuki Nishida, Shun Sugata, Machiko Ono and Ken Mitsushi, and if you missed the original, catch up on Netflix Instant.

Beyond Outrage hits VOD on November 28th and opens on January 3rd, 2014.
