Delivering one of the most insane recent horror films, Alexandre Aja created a work of delirious art with the original Piranha 3D. John Gulager has now taken his place for the sequel, which will hopefully pack the same amount of craziness. We’ve got the first trailer today via EFDFilms and it while I’m not sure it will have the sheer amount of carnage, it seems to pack the same ridiculousness. We’ve got David Hasselhoff as himself admitting he never was an actual lifeguard and Ving Rhames returning with a brand-new shotgun attachment in a perfect place. Then we’ve also got copious amounts of double D’s, as the title would suggest. Check it out below.
Starring Danielle Panabaker, Gary Busey, Ving Rhames, Paul Scheer, Christopher Lloyd, Meagan Tandy, David Koechner, Chris Zylka, Héctor Jiménez, Clu Gulager, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Matt Bush, Katrina Bowden, Paul James Jordan, Adrian Martinez, and Thomas Hall, Piranha 3DD is expected to open sometime this year.
