Normally we don’t discuss television, but when the show in question has a pilot directed by Martin Scorsese, you start to pay more attention. The show is titled Boardwalk Empire and was created by Terence Winter, writer for The Sopranos. The show is centered around Atlantic City, New Jersey during the time of Prohibition, and is based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Nelson Johnson. Needless to say, this looks pretty awesome. And of course, you have to love any show that gives Steve Buscemi a platform to show his great, underused talents every week. The show is set to premiere in the fall, and it’s easily one of my most anticipated things to be released across any medium right now.
