After shooting nearly two years ago, it looks like the feature film adaptation of Dean Koontz‘s Odd Thomas may finally be on its way to theatears. Held up in a legal battle, in which producers are suing certain entities for not providing upwards of $35 million towards production and potential marketing, it seems as though they are gearing up for the market at Cannes with a new sales trailer.

For those that haven’t read the book, the story follows a short-order cook named Odd Thomas who can commune with the dead, a secret only his girlfriend and the local police chief know. While this footage is rough around the edges, it looks like a decently fun time for the film that will hopefully see a release by the end of the year. Check out the trailer below, featuring Anton Yelchin, Willem Dafoe, Nico Tortorella, Patton Oswalt and Addison Timlin.
