With Thanksgiving right around the corner, news will likely slow down the next few days. But in a last-minute release, CBS Films wants to make sure you go into the holiday with some unease. They’ve released a quick, new trailer for The Woman in Black, featuring the first post-Harry Potter role from Daniel Radcliffe.

James Watkins‘ horror film is written by Jane Goldman (Stardust, Kick-Ass, The Debt, X-Men: First Class) and based on Susan Hill‘s novel. The last few trailers have been shaping up to deliver one of the more promising films of early 2012. I’m always eager for films in the genre that don’t rely on gore, and this looks to fall into place. Check out the new post below for the film also starring Ciarán Hinds, Janet McTeer and Shaun Dooley.

Synopsis:

Based on the classic ghost story, THE WOMAN IN BLACK tells the tale of Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), a lawyer who is forced to leave his young son and travel to a remote village to attend to the affairs of the recently deceased owner of Eel Marsh House.

Working alone in the old mansion, Kipps begins to uncover the town’s tragic and tortured secrets and his fears escalate when he discovers that local children have been dying under mysterious circumstances. When those closest to him become threatened by the vengeful woman in black, Kipps must find a way to break the cycle of terror.

The Woman in Black hits theaters February 3rd, 2012.
