With a release just over a couple of weeks away, there’s no denying the buzz on Bryan Singer‘s fantasy epic Jack the Giant Slayer is low. After being delayed from last summer, we recently got a full-length trailer, but with some wonky visual effects and bare threads of a story, it didn’t do much to increase tepid anticipation.

Warner Bros. has now crafted a new trailer to try and increase some buzz, adding in some more of our giant creatures, with one funny gag showing just how massive they are. But unfortunately, this one doesn’t look to be seamlessly coming together, but hopefully we are simply misguided. Led by star Nicholas Hoult (who recently joined the next film from Rupert Wyatt, the WWI drama Birdsong), check out the trailer below, as well as the first two clips, for the film also starring Eleanor Tomlinson, Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy and Ewan McGregor.

Synopsis:

“Jack the Giant Slayer” tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult) into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend–and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

Jack the Giant Slayer opens March 1st.
