This year Michael Bay delivered his supposedly final chapter of alien antics with Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Instead of sequel next summer, it looks like Peter Berg is following in his footsteps with Battleship, based on the popular boardgame. It all looks absolutely inane and ridiculous, especially considering a $200 million budget, but Berg may possibly have some fun in store.
We have the first trailer for the film starring Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard, Rihanna, Hamish Linklater and Brooklyn Decker. All the designs look similar to what we’ve seen before in countless alien films whether it be District 9, Battle: Los Angeles, Skyline, and most recently, Cowboys & Aliens. I just hope this is showing a small glimpse of a much larger, more interesting show, but that seems like a distant wish. Check out the trailer below via Yahoo.
