Everyone’s favorite post modern pothead duo, Harold & Kumar aka John Cho and Kal Penn, look to be headed back to theaters for one more hit. The twist? Say hello to Santa Sativa…
Cho dropped quite a few details about A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas which will fast forward the story a few years after Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay and will find the titular pair living apart. The film is supposed to be in the style of classic holiday films, but will obviously feature a raunchier take. Neil Patrick Harris is set to return and filming should start in June, once Cho wraps up work on FlashFoward. There’s no confirmation as to whether Kal Penn will return, as he’s currently working in the Obama administration as the Associate Director Of The White House Office Of Public Engagement.

Since Kumar is working for Obama, the film’s future remains a scooby doo mystery unless the secret purpose behind the movie is to launch a nation wide legalize marijuana campaign helmed by Kal Penn. Kumar or not, you can expect another raunchy stoner sequel when A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas looks to score some holiday green later this year.
Would you watch a new Harold & Kumar flick without Kumar?
