A new trailer has premiered on IGN for Mike Newell’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The summer blockbuster based on the popular videogame series stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina, and Ben Kingsley. Mike Newell‘s previous blockbuster, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was actually quite good. I loved the videogame series and this seems to have a lot of the same elements. The script looks like it could use the part, but coming from Disney and Bruckheimer this should be a fun summer flick. Check out some HD screencaps below (click for hi-res):

Two posters for next summer’s video game movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time have debuted exclusively at Empire (via /Film) and they show the lead character, Prince Dastan, played by Jake Gyllenhaal (Jarhead, Zodiac), and the other shows Princess Tamina, played by Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace, RocknRolla).
