With the first official photo out today, Deadline is reporting that Conan writers Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer have been hired by Marvel Studios to pen Dr. Strange. Last June we reported that a film adaptation of the popular PS3 videogame Uncharted is being made with Hitman screenwriter Kyle Ward attached. Latino Review is reporting that that deal has since fallen through and that Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, the less-than-stellar team behind Sahara, but they can prove themselves with the upcoming Marcus Nispel remake of Conan.

I just recently finished playing through Uncharted 2 and it by far one of the best videogames I’ve ever played. As many have said before it is what Indy 4 should have been. The story is extremely engaging and the environments are breathtaking. Based on the title of the film adaptation it looks like they are writing the script based off the first Uncharted game, but I hope they include some elements of the new one, as I thought it was a better story.
