‘It’s Kind Of A Funny Story’ Trailer


The trailer for one of my most anticipated films of the year has arrived. Half Nelson and Sugar director/writers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck‘s next film, It’s Kind of a Funny Story stars Zach Galifianakis, Keir Gilchrist, Viola Davis, Zoe Kravitz, Jeremy Davies, Emma Roberts and Lauren Graham. The drama comedy is being described as a teen version of One Flew Over The Cuckoos’ Nest with the tone of The Breakfast Club. Check it out below via Yahoo. Read the full story

[First Look] It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Pirates 4 and Burlesque


Today we have three first looks at upcoming projects ranging from indies to blockbusters. First up is for Half Nelson and Sugar director/writers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck‘s next film, It’s Kind of a Funny Story. The first shot (above) appears in EW and features Zach Galifianakis. The drama comedy is being described as a teen version of One Flew Over The Cuckoos’ Nest with the tone of The Breakfast Club and also stars Emma Roberts and Lauren Graham. [Release Dates] ‘It’s Kind Of A Funny Story,’ ‘Somewhere’


For all those reading with their fingers crossed for a promising fall season to counter what looks to be an underwhelming summer season coming up, here’s some hope. The Playlist Nation comes bearing gifts, as Sofia Coppola‘s much-anticipated, Stephen Dorff-led Somewhere gets a December 22nd release date while Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden‘s (Half Nelson, Sugar) next film, It’s Kind of a Funny Story, will come to a theater (kind of) near you on September 24th, pushed up from an initial November release date. Story stars Zach Galifianankis, Emma Roberts and Lauren Graham and will concern “A clinically depressed teenager (who) gets a new start after he checks himself into an adult psychiatric ward.” [IMDB]
