Brad Anderson is best known for his 2004 psychological thriller, The Machinist, but he has spent much of his time in television since then, directing episodes of The Wire and Treme as well as seven episodes of Fringe. After the departure of Saw VI director Kevin Greutert from Paranormal Activity 2, Paramount has been actively searching for a replacement director so that the film can make it’s October 22nd, 2010 release date. This list intends to pay homage to recent classics that have not been given the appropriate respect. In no particular order:
1. Lord of War (2005) - dir. Andrew Niccol
Nicolas Cage as a smooth-talking gunrunner. The opening credits alone are haunting.
