Hot off the new images we uncovered a few days ago, The Weinstein Company have set a prime fall date for Andrew Dominik‘s follow-up to The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert FordCogan’s Trade. The crime drama starring  Brad Pitt, Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta will arrive on September 21st, 2012, mostly certainly guaranteeing a Venice/TIFF bow.

Based on George V. Higgins‘ novel the film which follows  ”a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game” will open wide against Dredd, the animation Hotel Transylvania and Jennifer Lawrence‘s horror film House at the End of The Street. We are shaping up for a great September as the film will open a week after Ben Affleck‘s Argo and a week before Rian Johnson‘s Looper.

The Weinstein Company also pushed back to of their films, one obviously being Scary Movie 5, a film I didn’t even know entered production that was set to open this April. It will now hit on the unfortunate but fitting date of January 13th, 2013, across from the also pushed back Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.

They also pushed the political satire Butter from this March to October 5th, 2012, where it will arrive with Tim Burton‘s Frankenweenie, Taken 2 and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D. The film which bowed at Telluride and TIFF to mostly positive reviews and stars Jennifer Garner, Hugh Jackman, Alicia Silverstone, Ty Burrell and Olivia Wilde.

Which above Weinstein film do you want to see most? If it doesn’t rhyme with Logan’s Made, we need to talk.
