During the long stretch to make Blue Valentine, as with most directors awaiting their next (or first) project, Derek Cianfrance dove headfirst into the commercial-making business. With his next (great) feature The Place Beyond the Pines hitting theaters at the month, he’s done a bit more work in the field and we’ve got the superb result today.
Picked up by Adweek (who do a must-read job of breaking down why exactly this works so well), Cianfrance’s commercial for Dick’s Sporting Goods has landed. Check it out below, along with two new UK posters from Total Film/Empire and a TV spot from First Showing for Pines.
The Place Beyond the Pines hits theaters starting on March 29th.
