I’m confident the marketing for Prometheus will never stop, even well after the film is already in theaters. The latest piece comes in the form of a featurette, which sees our cast lob endless praise at director Ridley Scott. But packed into those superfluous bits, we’ve actually got quite a bit of new footage. There’s some banter on the space ship, as well some dust-related happenings outside. It’s still all very exciting, but I again plead with 20th Century Fox to slow down these marketing reveals. We all want to see your great-looking movie. Check it out below via Apple.
Synopsis:
Ridley Scott, director of ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ returns to the genre he helped define. With ‘Prometheus’, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
Starring Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, and Patrick Wilson, Prometheus will arrive on June 8th.

Since any New York City cinephile has an almost suffocating wealth of theatrical options, we figured it’d be best to compile some of the more worthwhile repertory showings into one handy list. One of the most highly anticipated films of the Cannes Film Festivals was unveiled this morning to a divisive response, Nicolas Winding Refn‘s Only God Forgives. With this year’s Cannes Film Festival halfway done, one of the clear highlights is Coens‘ 1960′s-set folk music tale Inside Llewyn Davis. Profiling a down on his luck musician (Oscar Isaac), whose natural talent indicates he is destined for success, the film is a vivid portrait of what it means to be a starving artist. In [...]
