When it comes to a new Quentin Tarantino film, our tickets are pretty much reserved by name only, but since we’re (sadly) not the only audience for film, The Weinstein Company needs to do some convincing for the general populace and with that, we’ve got two, new one-minute TV spots.

While they don’t include a substantial amount of new footage, they are concise pieces that sell the “southern” to great effect. Check out the spots below, as well as a few images from Empire (and a few scans sent in by a reader, one being a hilarious behind-the-scenes snap of our villain), but make sure to pick up the full thing on newsstands for the film starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson.

Synopsis:

Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award(R)-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award(R)-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles–dead or alive.

Django Unchained arrives on December 25th.
