After establishing their respective universes, studios are attempting to branch out and head out different paths with upcoming movies. We recently learned 20th Century Fox will be moving forward with a few X-Men spin-offs, while Sony just confirmed Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) will be writing and directing Sinister Six, which is said to feature Doctor Octopus, Electro, Sandman, Mysterio, Vulture and Kraven the Hunter.

When it comes to Marvel, their first true deviation from the standard comic book outline looks to be with Guardians of the Galaxy. With a batch of off-kilter characters, we recently got an enticing preview for the James Gunn-directed film and now the first clip has landed. Reminiscent of Raiders of the Lost Ark, the clip shows Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) venturing to steal an artifact and then his quick escape. While it doesn’t show a great deal of new footage, one can check it out below.
