It’s a tough choice, but someone’s got to make a decision here. Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman project is ramping up the casting process by getting some potential leads in mind. But who will they choose?

Before we get to that, Relativity Media is gearing up for their dueling version of Snow White, directed by Tarsem (The Fall, The Cell), and Deadline reports they are interested in Julia Roberts taking the lead role. Like Universal’s project, this is also fast-tracked. Now on to Universal’s shortlist:

So, Charlize Theron is in the running for the evil queen, and Michael Fassbender could be the title’s huntsman, but what about the orphan girl with raven hair and ruby red lips?

Initially the studio had the likes of Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning and Saoirse Ronan in mind, but it seems as though they’re now moving towards a more unknown actress for the role.

Here’s the potential shortlist via THR:

Riley Keough

Granddaughter of Elvis Presley, daughter of Lisa-Marie, she’s so far played Marie Currie in The Runaways and just finished making vampire movie, Jack&Diane

Felicity Jones

British beauty who has recently played Miranda in Julie Taymor‘s The Tempest, and was Margot Frank in the BBC’s The Diary of Anne Frank.

Bella Heathcote

Australian actor who has a recurring role in the soap opera, Neighbours.

Alicia Vikander

Swedish TV actress who has mainly TV work to her name.

Who would be your first choice?
