Along with the confirmation of a Last Exorcism sequel, here comes another found footage possession movie, this one courtesy of writer Benjamin Magid. Variety informs us that Universal has bought the rights to his spec script Thirteen, which reportedly bares some similarity to the 1990 sci-fi thriller Flatliners — which is actually being remade. Otherwise, that’s all we’re hearing at the moment.

The sale is the second project Magid has going on; Pan, his dark supernatural twist on J.M. Barrie’s classic Peter Pan story, was announced last May. Currently in pre-production, it puts an adult spin on the well-known narrative with Captain Hook as a police detective on the trail of a notorious kidnapper. Aaron Eckhart, AnnaSophia RobbSean Bean and Terrence Stamp are among those listed as starring in the film, which will be brought to life by animation director Ben Hibon (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1).

Though details are sketchy, both Thirteen and Pan are predicted to hit theaters sometime in 2013.
