As Terrence Malick is nearly wrapping production on his still-untitled Austin-set drama with Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman, Ryan Gosling and many, many more, we’ve now got news on when we’ll be able to see the next work from the auteur. After debuting his romantic drama To the Wonder on the fall festival circuit to divisive reviews (we were firmly in the positive camp), Magnolia Pictures picked up the Ben Affleck and Olga Kurylenko-starring project and we’ve got word exclusively from the distributor that they plan an April release stateside, but no specific date has been set yet.

This comes directly after word from the UK that a February 22nd release has been set for that region, thanks to Studio Canal. While other territories have yet to be confirmed, it’s exciting to know we’ll be able to check this one out in the early part of 2013 and hopefully a trailer is on its way soon. Also starring Rachel McAdams and Javier Bardem, Magnolia President Eamonn Bowles previously said, “It is an honor and a dream come true to be working with Terrence Malick, one of our greatest living filmmakers. To The Wonder is a romantic, haunting and beautiful film that will be endlessly rewarding for movie lovers.” For more info on the film, check out our extensive rundown and TIFF review.

Are you looking forward to To the Wonder this spring?
