Although his major Hollywood debut won’t arrive until early next year, Snitch director Ric Roman Waugh has already signed on to a number of major projects. From the spy thriller Expiration to the oil spill disaster film Deepwater Horizon, the relative newcomer has many options and we’ve got news of another today.
According to THR, he’s set for the sci-fi thriller Tipping Point over at Relativity Media. The script is penned by Todd Stein and takes place in a realm 100 years into the future when having children without a license is punishable by death. The film follows a dedicated officer who one day finds out the love of his life are the two fugitives he’s been after. After suddenly disappearing 12 years before, the fugitives have the officers 12 year-old son, a son he never knew he had.
As for his next film, Snitch stars Dwayne Johnson, Susan Sarandon, Barry Pepper, John Bernthal and Nadine Velazquez. The thriller will hit theaters on February 22nd, 2013 and one can see the trailer below if they missed it.
