Set Photo from ‘Spider-Man’ Reboot Shows Off More Costume

Not quite…

With the first photo showing off Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man getting a heavily positive reaction from most, people seem to be liking the new costume for the upcoming reboot. And now this new picture found by MTV that shows a stuntman wearing the costume on the set gives off a lot more.

One of the things that you can see more clearly are the mechanical web-shooters, whose vague presence in the official photo fired up internet speculation. They’re clear as day in this picture, and I’m pretty certain that we learn a couple of other things from this candid shot. For one thing, the redness of the eyes on this suit leads me to believe that some kind of CG effect is going to be done with the eyes; what that actually is remains unclear. Maybe something that’ll set it apart from the standard black the previous suit had? Who knows, but it’s just a theory.

And when you consider how red it is, I imagine digital work will be accomplished to make it look darker. Compared to the official photo, it’s practically night and day in terms of color. Anyway, take a look at the whole thing below:

The Spider-Man will be released in theaters on July 3rd, 2012.

What do you think of this set photo, and how it compares to the official still?
