As his directorial debut The Man With the Iron Fists is set to land in theaters this week, RZA is already learning the ins and outs of the Hollywood system, lining up endless projects with likely only a few will actually end up going into production. We reported on his Happy! adaptation earlier this month and now The Hollywood Reporter chimes in with two more potential directing gigs.

The first is a Genghis Khan biopic, which has been floating around Hollywood for quite some time with a script by John Milius (Red Dawn, Conan the Barbarian, Apocalypse Now). Mickey Rourke was rumored a few years ago to lead and Milius was even looking to direct, but there’s no word on what this new incarnation will bring in terms of talent. We do know that the 13th century story will not be in the infamous Mongol conquerer’s point of view, both rather his offspring, a son and grandson.

The other project is from Coraline producer Bill Mechanic as well as Django Unchained producer Reginald Hudlin and is titled No Man’s Land. The one-night action thriller, which has been compared to The Warriors, follows “a man who steals a powerful criminal’s diamond that soon proves to be far more valuable than initially thought. With the help of a dancer, he attempts to stay alive and cash in on the jewel.”

Production for Khan is set for next year in China, but sources indicate RZA could shoot No Man’s Land beforehand.

Which project are you looking forward to more? Are you going to see Iron Fists this weekend?
