With Eva Green taking the main female lead role in the Sin City sequel as Ava Lord, the Dame to Kill For, we thought that may have concluded Robert Rodriguez‘s casting search, but never underestimate the director’s long process, as we’ve got another big addition today.
According to Variety, Stacy Keach (who last worked with Rodriguez on Machete) has been brought on to play mob boss Wallenquist, described as a “chief villain” and “the one man who can’t be redeemed in Sin City.” Rodriguez adds that he is pure evil.” Keach is aiming to have a major fall, with not only this role, but a big part in Alexander Payne‘s follow-up to The Descendants, the black-and-white drama Nebraska.
Keach will join Bruce Willis, who will be resurrected for the film, as well as Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Michael Madsen, Rosario Dawson and Jamie King are all returning, alongside newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Ray Liotta, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Dennis Haysbert, Julia Garner and Juno Temple.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For arrives on October 4th.
