Casting news on Adam Shankman‘s Rock of Ages continues apace, as mere hours after the rumors of Amy Adams circling a role emerged, Deadline is now reporting that Paul Giamatti has also been cast.
As Giamatti is a man seemingly incapable of delivering a bad performance (indeed, let’s just take a second to imagine how bad Paycheck or Lady in the Water would have been without him… a horrifying thought, no?), his casting as the manager of the band led by frontman Stacee Jaxx (Tom Cruise) would be further proof that Rock of Ages is a film to be excited about.
Along with the three stars mentioned, Ages has already either confirmed or been linked with Mary J. Blige, Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand respectively. It may be time to consider this an ensemble piece.
