Star Wars: The Force Awakens..Ph: Film Frame..? 2014 Lucasfilm Ltd. & TM. All Right Reserved..

With it being over three years since The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm for just over $4 billion, it’s hard to believe there’s actually a new Star Wars film in theaters worldwide today. Perhaps even more surprising: it’s quite a fun time at the movies, as our review notes. If one is like me, the interest of many attending the film is hearing a brand-new score from franchise regular John Williams, and today we have it available in full.

“It’s almost cheating, when you have John Williams, because he writes feelings,” J.J. Abrams tells CBS News. “He knows how to make your heart soar like no one else.” Indeed, the score — which spans 23 tracks and is around 1 hours and 17 minutes — hits the right emotional and thrilling beats, and we imagine it might replace your regular Christmas playlist the next few weeks.

Check out the full score below, streaming on Spotify, as well as the 60 Minutes special, an extensive conversation on storytelling, and Abrams’ entertaining talk with Howard Stern. We’ve also included our in-depth discussion of the film, in case you missed it.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now in theaters nationwide.
