Here’s to second chances. Or third. Or four – er wait, how many? Nevermind. Lindsay Lohan, the once-movie-now-tabloid star has a high profile film lined up once again, starring John Travolta and Joe Pesci in Gotti: Three Generations. She was in talks to play Victoria Gotti, then she wasn’t. Now the young actress is back in the film playing…Kim Gotti, Junior Gotti’s wife.
It’s been a rough couple of – well, more like a few – years for the actress, full of arrests for things like drunk driving and theft and bad movies (Georgia Rule, I Know Who Killed Me, Labor Pains, Machete). This is her comeback, and she knows it, telling AP:
“I’m really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do.”
“I think it’s such an iconic story…I think it’s a great story to be told. I’m honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci.”
Junior sold the rights to his life story to Fiore Films. The film will focus of the son’s relationship to his father. Travolta will play Gotti the senior, Pesci will play one of his lieutenants. Gotti: Three Generations will shoot in New York and is set for a 2012 release. [THR]
