Keanu Reeves will star in Jekyll, in a modern day telling of the 1886 classic story of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Universal Pictures is producing. Nicolas Winding Refn is set to direct, who helmed the Pusher trilogy. Justin Haythe will be handling the script, who wrote last year’s Revolutionary Road.
Yes, Keanu Reeves will be Dr. Jekyll. Is it a bad idea? Yeah, pretty much. I’m actually not on the Reeves hate band wagon, I’m a Reeves apologist, he’s done some good movies and has delivered enough worth-while performances. As long as he doesn’t go for a british accent again, remember Dracula, then this isn’t the worst idea ever. Though as a fan of the Pusher trilogy, this does gain my interest, well mildly.
