Timed with the release of Machete, another Grindhouse trailer-turned-feature film is on its way. You may not remember the fake Hobo With a Shotgun trailer, as it was only attached to some screenings (mainly in Canada). It comes from Jason Eisener, John Davies, and Rob Cotterill, who are Dartmouth, Nova Scotia filmmakers that won Robert Rodriguez‘s South by Southwest Grindhouse trailers contest.
The feature film stars Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, Sin City, Batman Begins). The trailer seems to capture the grindhouse feel and one definitely can tell its low budget. It reveals some cool kills, so if you don’t want to be spoiled, I’d avoid it. For everyone else, check it out below.
Alliance Films is releasing Hobo With a Shotgun in spring of 2011. You can stay up to date on their official blog and follow direct Jason Eisener on Twitter here.
