Can you guess who will play who? After jumping from the eight-film wizard saga into whatever they please, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have already had some promising turns, but now they are being called back to tentpole territory. Following Harry Potter supporting star Gary Oldman booking a trip tonight to witness the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the film’s two leads have found their next project, and they are a pair of weighty, iconic roles.

First up, Watson (who is coming off the acclaimed Perks of Being a Wallflower and will next be seen in Sofia Coppola‘s The Bling Ring) is in talks to star as Cinderella in Disney’s upcoming reboot, according to Variety. The project has had a bit of a struggle coming together, with studio clashes causing Mark Romanek to exit, while Kenneth Branagh has stepped in to the director’s chair.

If Watson got the role, she would beat out Saoirse RonanAlicia Vikander and Gabriella Wilde, and would join Cate Blanchett in  the evil stepmother role. Written by About a Boy‘s Chris Weitz, the film follows the prince, who set for a politically arranged marriage, until the evil plan is threatened when the prince meets Cinderella. Shooting is scheduled this fall for a 2014 release, so expect more casting soon.

Moving over to Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe has lined up a role vastly different than anything we’ve seen him done before. Coming off some praise for his Sundance drama Kill Your Darlings, the actor has signed on to play the hunchback Igor, assitant to our scientist, in another reboot of Frankenstein. Variety reports that the film, scripted by Chronicle‘s Max Landis will tell “a tale of friendship and redemption.” Directed by Lucky Number Slevin‘s Paul McGuigan, this one will also shoot in the fall, so we could see both these projects hit around the same time.

Do you think these Harry Potter stars fit the roles? Which film do you want to see more?
