Despite it being four years since his last film, Canada’s Atom Egoyan has been hard at work at not one, but two new dramas. Today brings our first look at both and first up, above, one can see Ryan Reynolds in Queen of the Night, a psychological thriller that follows our lead as a father who discovers clues eight years after his daughter’s abduction that suggest the now-17-year-old girl is still alive. He’s joined by Mireille Enos, Bruce Greenwood, Scott Speedman, Rosario Dawson, Alexia Fast and Kevin Durand in the film.
We also have our first still from Egoyan’s West Memphis Three drama Devil’s Knot featuring Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth. That project also stars Stephen Moyer, Mireille Enos, Kristopher Higgins, Seth Meriwether, James Hamrick, Alessandro Nivola, Collette Wolfe, Kris Polaha, Amy Ryan, Dane DeHaan and Matt Letscher, and we can expect both films to be on the fall festival circuit, likely in his home country at Toronto International Film Festival.
