Following the sad news this morning that celebrated thriller author Tom Clancy passed away at the age of 66, today brings a new look at his next film adaptation. Arriving in theaters on Christmas Day, the latest entry into the Jack Ryan series is titled Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (not Shadow One, as previous reports suggested) and the first poster has landed.
Featuring newcomer to the franchise, Chris Pine, it’s a sleek piece of art that has us looking forward to what director Kenneth Branagh has in store with the globe-spanning action tentpole. With Branagh playing the villain, Paramount will unveil the first trailer tomorrow at 7:30pm EST over at Yahoo, but in the meantime, see the poster and banner below for the film also starring Keira Knightley and Kevin Costner.
