If you’re still recovering from the gore-filled teaser trailer for the Sam Raimi-produced Evil Dead remake, Sony is here to remind you that’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their horror film. Along with a new still of star Jane Levy looking completely scared, the studio has released the first poster for the reboot, which makes a bold claim that this is “The Most Terrifying Film You Will Ever Experience.”
Judging from that trailer for Fede Alvarez‘s directorial debut, they could certainly be right but its quite a statement to make off the bat. Produced by Ash himself Bruce Campbell, the film also stars Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore. Check out the poster below via Yahoo.
In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
Evil Dead arrives on April 12th.
